Hosting two PhD candidates from University of Cologne, Germany

In March 2026, two PhD candidates, Emma Galbraith and Ole Lück had a research stay at Ho Chi Minh University of Banking. Emma Galbraith and Ole Lück are also co-supervised by Prof. Javier Revilla Diez (Institute of Geography, University of Cologne) and Dr. Tran Quang Van (Faculty of International Economics, Ho Chi Minh University of Banking).

During the stay, both worked with staffs at Faculty of International Economics, particularly with Dr. Tran Quang Van, integrated with students and presented their works at staff seminars. During the stay, Emma did data collection for her dissertation on green finance and energy transitions in Southeast Asia. Also, Ole, had a data collection site visit in Thua Thien Hue, which is one of the provinces in the TVSEP panel.

Both were very happy to have a very good time and very productive research stay at the university.
